Nasal hump removal

Nasal hump is a case of bulged nose bridge and is caused by out-grown nasal bone and cartilage.

Surgical methods
1) Precisly check and analyze the state of nasal hump using 3D-CT.
2) Remve nasal bone and cartilage that form a hump.
3) Gather nasal bone using osteotomy
4) If need higher bridge, conduct the nasal bridge augmentation using implant or autologous materials.

Nasal tip reduction

In a case of nasal tip is long, it can make face look long too.

Surgical methods

Over-projected nose correction

Feature of over-projected nose

If nose over-projected, nasal tip points downward.

We can call over-projected nose as long nose or pointy nose.

Over-projected nose can make a nose look too big.

Especially from the profile view, it can make face long.

Over-projected nose correction

The purpose of over-projected nose correction is to improve the angle between nasal tip and upper lips, and the length of a nose in proportion to face ratio to ideal.

The ideal angle from nasal tip to upper lips is 90 ~ 95 degrees.

Face can be divided vertically into three equal parts.

The ideal proportion of nose is 1/3 in whole face.

However, Over-projected nose has narrow angle and bigger than 1/3.

Therefore, Long nose rhinoplasty consider this point to make angle and ratio to ideal.

Open rhinoplasty method

1) Incision along the area between the nostrils. (called the columella)

2) Removing front nasal septum.

3) Making a new nasal tip support.
