The way to narrow a wide nose with rhinoplasty

There are several reasons why the nose looks wide.

One of common reason is wide alar base. (The nasal ala meaning the "wing of the nose")

The face can be divided horizontally into five qual parts as shown on the picture above.

Ideal proportion of nose is 1/5 in whole face.

01 - Skin excision method

Remnant alar skin can be excised bilaterally.

Excise mainly inner part of alar skin along the natural alar wrinkle so that the scar cannot be seen.







 



02 - Suture method

Reduce nasal ala using only suture, without skin incision










03 - Improve thick nasal alar skin

In case of thick alar skin, improve the alar thickness through excision of alar rim skin lengthways.

Hospitalization : Leave on the day

 

Stich removal : 5 days the day after surgery
